L Support Brackets – Maximum Rigidity for Your RTT Awning Setup
Designed to work hand-in-hand with the Land Raxx Heavy-Duty Quick-Release Awning Brackets, the L Support Brackets dramatically increase the rigidity of your rooftop tent side rail – giving your awning a rock-solid mounting point that won't flex, rattle or shift on the tracks or the trails.
Why you need them:
- Stiffens the RTT side rail where your awning loads it most
- Minimises flex and movement from your quick-release awning setup
- Spreads the load across the rail for a stronger, safer mount
- Quick to fit – designed for the Land Raxx Quick-Release system
- Can also be used with other brand's awning brackets.

What's Covered:
- Brackets (metal components) — 5-year warranty against structural defects or failure under normal use.
- Pins and fasteners — 12-month warranty.
- Powder coating — Not covered due to normal wear and exposure.
What Voids the Warranty:
This warranty will be void if:
- The brackets are misused, abused, or installed incorrectly.
- The brackets are modified in any way, including welding or retrofitting additional parts.
- The failure is due to third-party components (e.g. rooftop tent rails, bolts, awning side rails) that are not compatible or structurally adequate.
Important Installation & Usage Requirements:
To ensure safety and performance:
- Always verify that your rooftop tent or mounting platform is rated to handle the combined load of the brackets and awning. If unsure, check with your rooftop tent manufacturer.
- Use guy ropes and poles at all times when deploying an awning, even if it’s marketed as “freestanding.” Wind gusts can cause serious damage.
- Use only correct bolts or channel nuts that match the awning’s T-slot or mounting system. Incompatible hardware can cause failure.
Note: Our brackets are load-rated to 50kg per bracket, but your setup is only as strong as its weakest link.
Limitations of Liability:
Land Raxx accepts no responsibility for damage or failure caused by:
- Inadequate load ratings or construction of rooftop tents, rails, or awnings
- Environmental forces like wind, if the awning is not properly secured
- Failure to follow installation instructions or usage guidelines
Warranty Claims:
- Proof of purchase is required.
- If your claim is approved, Land Raxx will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs and provide a replacement or refund at our discretion.

Are the brackets compatible with all rooftop tents?
As long as your rooftop tent has two channels running along the bottom rail and the bottom rail is vertical (not on an angle), then our Quick-Release Brackets will fit your setup.
Are they compatible with my awning?
Are they compatible with my awning?
We’ve designed our brackets to be as universal as possible. They’ve been specifically engineered to handle the heaviest 180° and 270° awnings, including popular brands like Outback, The Bush Company, Kings, and Bushwakka. As long as your awning has a backing plate with two T-slot channels, our brackets will work for you.
What’s the weight load rating on them?

The brackets have been over-engineered to handle the heaviest of awnings. Each bracket can take up to 50 kg. However, the ultimate load rating will depend on your rooftop tent’s side rail. Please check with your rooftop tent manufacturer for their load rating and adhere to their recommendations.

The brackets are made from 5mm and 8mm 304 stainless steel and powder-coated in a textured, hard-wearing black finish. All fasteners and push pins are made from stainless steel as well.

If you order two brackets, you’ll receive two push pins. If you order three, you’ll receive three push pins. If you’d like to run an extra set of push pins in the top holes instead of the 30mm stainless steel bolts we provide, additional sets are available for purchase here.

How do I know if I need two or three brackets?
We generally recommend two brackets. However, a third bracket provides an extra point of support for both downward and upward forces — for example, a strong wind gust coming through your campsite. We also recommend three brackets if you’ll be doing any serious off-roading or driving long distances across corrugated roads.

These brackets have been specifically designed for mounting directly to a rooftop tent. However, we’ve designed a set of L-Brackets that allow these to be mounted to a roof platform, canopy, or roof racks. They’re available here.

They’ve been extremely popular, which has made it hard to keep stock levels up. As a small Australian business, we’re doing our best to stay on top of inventory, but the brackets remain open for order at all times. All backorders are fulfilled as a priority once new stock arrives.
