Most awning brackets are folded from 3mm and hope for the best. This one is cut from 5mm and 8mm 304 stainless and welded into a three plate clamp that grips the full Base Rack extrusion. It is the heaviest bracket we make, and that is the point. A 270 awning on corrugations puts brutal loads through the mount. We built for that, not for the brochure.

There is nothing else like this on the market. This is the only quick release awning bracket built specifically for the ARB Base Rack. No drilling, no adaptors, no fighting the rail. The bracket clamps straight onto the Base Rack dovetail with a top plate and bottom plate, and your awning drops onto the built in indexing pin. Undo one thumb screw and the awning comes off. Drop it back on and nip it up when it is time to head out.

What's Covered:
- Brackets (metal components): 5 year warranty against structural defects or failure under normal use.
- Pins and fasteners: 12 month warranty.
- Powder coating: Not covered due to normal wear and exposure.
What Voids the Warranty:
- The brackets are misused, abused, or installed incorrectly.
- The brackets are modified in any way, including welding or retrofitting additional parts.
- The failure is due to third party components (e.g. roof rack rails, bolts, awning side rails) that are not compatible or structurally adequate.
Important Installation & Usage Requirements:
- Always verify that your roof rack is rated to handle the combined load of the brackets and awning. If unsure, check with ARB.
- Use guy ropes and poles at all times when deploying an awning, even if it is marketed as freestanding. Wind gusts can cause serious damage.
- Use only correct bolts or channel nuts that match the awning's T slot or mounting system.
Note: Our brackets are load rated to 50kg per bracket, but your setup is only as strong as its weakest link.

Yes. The bracket is built specifically for the ARB Base Rack and clamps directly to the dovetail rail using the top and bottom plates. No drilling and no adaptors. It fits any Base Rack size.

The top plate has an indexing pin machined into it. Your awning plate drops straight onto that pin and locates itself, then a knurled anti rattle thumb screw locks it down. It has been engineered for the heaviest 180° and 270° awnings including Outback, The Bush Company, Kings and Bushwakka. As long as your awning has a backing plate with two T slot channels, it will work.

Each bracket is rated to 50kg. The clamp spreads load across the Base Rack extrusion rather than pinching a single point. Your overall setup is only as strong as its weakest link, so check the Base Rack's rated load with ARB and stay within it.

Two brackets suit most 180 and 270 awnings up to around 2.5m. Go with three for larger 270 awnings, heavy awnings or serious off road use where you want an extra point of support against both downward load and wind lift.
